Accessibility

Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This accessibility statement describes what the platform actually does today, written from the database schema and the code rather than from a template. It has not been reviewed by counsel and should be before anyone relies on it. If something here does not match how the product behaves, the product is right and this page is wrong — tell us at mail@reallyfeproductions.com.
Everyone should be able to watch, join in and shop here, whatever device, screen reader or settings they use. This page says what we aim for, what is built today, where we know we still fall short, and how to tell us about anything that gets in your way.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across the site and the iPhone app. That is a goal, not a claim: the site has not been audited against it yet, and the list below is honest about the gaps we know of.
What is built
- Skip links. The public site and the community start each page with a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- A visible focus ring shows where you are when you move around with a keyboard.
- Less motion if you ask for it. When your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned down or off.
- Messages that are read out. Confirmations and errors (an entry going through, a form problem) are announced to screen readers, not only shown.
- Captions on our own videos. The site’s own video ads and Store films can carry English captions, made automatically and checked by our team. Episodes we embed from YouTube use YouTube’s captions where the video has them.
- Live captions in rooms. A host can turn on automatic captions: each speaker’s own browser turns their voice into text for the room.
- Zoom — page zoom and pinch-to-zoom work everywhere.
Where we know we fall short
- Live captions are limited. They only appear when the host turns them on and only from speakers whose browser can make them (Chrome, Edge or Safari; in Chrome, Google’s speech service hears the audio). Broadcasts and premieres have none.
- Some videos have no captions: the ad shown between hands in After Hours, and paid-room replays.
- Text size. Text uses fixed sizes, so your browser’s font-size setting doesn’t enlarge it yet; page zoom does.
- The sign-in pages don’t have a skip link yet.
- Some After Hours games are built for sight. The card, dice and board tables are drawn for people who can see them and may be hard or impossible to play with a screen reader.
- Photos and videos posted by members may not have descriptions or captions.
Report a barrier
If something on the site or in the app is hard or impossible for you to use, email mail@reallyfeproductions.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device and any assistive technology you use (a screen reader, voice control, switch access, magnification). A person reads every one, and if we can’t fix it quickly we’ll work with you on another way to get what you came for.
